Fall Creek Field + Forum & Meet & Greet Planasa 2026, May
This year, Fall Creek and Planasa's berry breeding programmes were presented at a joint sectoral event, which took place on 10 March in Seville and Huelva. The day began in the morning, at Fall Creek's facilities in Aznalcázar, with the Field + Forum, in which the Fall Creek® Collection and SEKOYA® programmes were integrated.
Kevin Murphy moderated the panel "Building the future of the blueberry category". Participants included Jaime Sanchez from SanLucar, Lydia Castellanos from Fruitist and Samuel Rowe from Agroberries. The consistency and quality of blueberries throughout the year are highly valued in retail, where it is expected that blueberries will continue to experience great growth within the snack category.

Paul Nselel detailed Fall Creek's two complementary platforms, Collection and Sekoya.
He also presented Sekoya Nova, the new addition to Sekoya, which aroused great interest among the Field + Forum attendees.
The event featured the chef Dani del Toro, who was in charge of making various recipes with blueberries that everyone could taste.

Meanwhile, everyone was taking note of Dani del Toro's creation.
But if there was one protagonist at the Fall Creek Field + Forum, it was him: the blueberry.
Fall Creek has carried its motto, Building a world with better blueberries, into each of the varieties developed in its different programmes, grown around the world.
Genetics has been a crucial element in the growth of the global blueberry market which, in addition to allowing year-round production, has resulted in fruit, such as the new Sekoya Nova variety, with a shelf life of more than 60 days in cold storage.
