The Supervisory Board of the Royal Hordijk Group has announced that CEO Rik Hennink will step down from his role on December 31, 2025. After more than six years in the position, Rik has decided to pursue new challenges.
In a press release, the Supervisory Board expressed its deep appreciation for Rik's dedication and contributions to the company and wished him every success in the future. Until the end of this year, Rik will continue in his role as CEO, working closely with his fellow board members and the Supervisory Board to ensure a smooth and careful transition.
To safeguard continuity and maintain the company's strong family-business identity, the CEO role will, from January 1, 2026, be shared between two leaders: Martine Hordijk and Marco Koese will take on the position together.
As part of this change, Martine Hordijk will step down from her current role as a member of the Supervisory Board. In the coming months, Martine and Marco will further develop their plans and share more details about their joint leadership.
With a history spanning over 100 years, the Hordijk Group consists of four specialized subsidiaries. The company focuses on producing plastic packaging for (fresh) food products and on developing steel and aluminum greenhouse systems for the horticultural sector.
