First open-field cucumbers hit Ukrainian market at stable prices

Ukrainian producers have started selling the first batches of open-field cucumbers. Greenhouse supply also remains high, according to analysts cited by RBC-Ukraine.

As of early July, wholesale prices for cucumbers range from 25 to 35 UAH/kg (€0.58–0.82), nearly the same level as last year.

According to Maksym Gopka from the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club, the supply of open-field cucumbers is expected to rise shortly.

The forecasted wholesale price for open-field cucumbers is 30–45 UAH/kg (€0.70–1.05), while retail prices may reach 50–70 UAH/kg (€1.17–1.63).
