The 17th edition of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco (SIAM) came to a successful close in Meknes after a seven-day run from April 21 to 27, 2025. The event broke all attendance records, with 1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries, and over a million visitors. "One of the most dynamic editions in the show's history," according to the organizers.

The 2025 edition of SIAM focused on the most pressing challenges facing Moroccan agriculture, which is running out of steam after seven consecutive years of drought. Water stress was a key concern, judging by the number of side events and conferences devoted to the subject, and the solutions put forward by exhibitors in terms of technological innovation and resistant varieties.
In continuation of the exchanges at the 2025 edition of the international agricultural show in France, where Morocco was the guest of honor, SIAM 17 had France as the guest of honor with an official delegation. This renewed call to clos ties and cooperation comes against a backdrop of high tension caused by Moroccan exports of fresh produce to France and Europe, and aims, according to statements from both sides, to address the shared challenges of climate change, as well as the periodic exchange of data on production and trade in agricultural products between the two countries.
Despite the growth in the number of exhibitors and the influx of visitors, the number of fresh produce growers exhibiting at SIAM 2025 is down on the previous edition. The exhibition is seemingly shifting its focus to services for growers, machinery, and agricultural inputs, in addition to other sectors such as livestock. It is also noticeable that fresh produce is showcased in the twelve regions of the country's stands, where the exhibitors are regional councils rather than growers. The Comader pavilion, with its member federations uniting Moroccan growers from different sectors, was another place to meet representatives of fresh produce growers and remained one of the busiest during the exhibition.
