OP Agrinatura, founded in 2024, is a dynamic and growing reality that fits right into the specialised horticultural supply chain. Op Agrinatura currently gathers over 30 members, covering a total area of over 70 hectares. A distinctive aspect of the organisation is the commitment of all members to follow the principles and regulations of integrated pest management. This approach ensures agricultural production that aims to minimise the use of synthetic chemicals, favouring more sustainable methods of defence that respect the environment and consumer health.

Op Agrinatura's production is mainly concentrated in the Hyblean area and extends across the provinces of Ragusa, Catania, and Caltanissetta. The range of marketed products is wide and designed to meet different market demands: it includes different tomato segments, including cherry, date, san marzano, round smooth bunch, and midi plum (piccadilly) tomatoes in the different colour variants. In addition, the PO also markets round, purple and long aubergines, peppers, courgettes and cucumbers.

In addition to supplying the Italian market, the PO also boasts a strong presence in foreign markets, especially Germany, but also in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia. This strong international presence underlines the competitiveness of Op Agrinatura's products and their ability to satisfy the tastes and quality standards of several European countries.

It is in these contexts that the guarantee of a continuous supply throughout the year - not only for cherry tomatoes, but also for all the other types of tomatoes marketed - proves to be fundamental for commercial partners. The company holds the GlobalGAP, GRASP, IFS certifications.

Packaging is diversified to meet the various distribution and consumption requirements - 250 and 500 g trays are available for retailers, as well as boxes of different sizes (30x50, 30x30, 30x20, 60x40) with weights varying from 1 to 8 kg, ideal for supplying the big distribution and wholesale markets.

The strategic and operational management of Op Agrinatura is entrusted to figures with solid experience in the agricultural and commercial sectors. The president is Pietro Piccione and the sales manager is Giuseppe Piccione, who boasts thirty years of experience in the marketing of fruit and vegetables. Both have many years of experience not only as direct producers, but also in the dynamic commercial sector. Their expert leadership is key for the success and continued growth of the organisation.
