NL: Harting and Schenkeveld join forces

Harting Holland and Schenkeveld, both leading family-owned companies in the greenhouse vegetable industry, are joining forces and moving into the future as a new combination with shared ownership.

Both companies will continue to operate in the market under their well-known brand names. They will maintain their own operations and sales structures within the new combination. The two family businesses have known each other for years, and the visions and DNA of both organizations align closely.

This collaboration responds to changing market conditions, ongoing consolidation, and the desire to work in a more innovative, sustainable, and efficient manner within the sector. It marks the next step in the ambition to perform at a top level in greenhouse vegetable cultivation. "Together with our employees and partners, we are committed to further optimization and growth."

Growth ambition
The combination has been formed to achieve greater scale, with the goal of organizing the involved companies even more effectively and professionally, thereby strengthening their market position. This will be done without the involvement of external parties, ensuring a decisive and flexible family business.

The ambitions will be developed in phases. In the coming period, we will assess whether specialization and potential centralization in areas such as Finance, Data, HR, Energy, and ICT can offer advantages. Additionally, the focus will be on promoting innovations in cultivation and further sustainability efforts at the various locations.
