Raymax 'Revival': Hortilux now also offers light measurements for LED

Do you remember Raymax? The horticultural entrepreneur who has been around for a while probably still does: it was the sister company of Hortilux, known for its accurate light measurements and service for HPS installations. In the meantime, the activities have been fully integrated within Hortilux, but the expertise and the memory of the solid approach have remained.

Traditionally, the end of the lighting season is the time to measure and review the performance of the lighting installation. Last year, the company already informed the market that they had stopped HPS measurements, to fully focus on offering specialized LED light measurements. And now the time has come: Hortilux is going back to those familiar Raymax days, with professional light measurements for LED fixtures.

Hortilux has advanced measuring instruments, specially equipped and modified to perform extremely accurate measurements of LED fixtures. The company can measure any type/brand of LED fixture and with this state-of-the-art technology, objectively determine the current performance of each LED installation.

How does it work? For a reliable comparison, Hortilux asks customers to send three identical fixtures from the existing installation. If you have multiple locations or different installations that you want to have measured, you send three fixtures per location/installation. The experts at Hortilux then perform precise measurements in their measuring facilities.

After the measurement process, the customer is provided with a comprehensive report that offers detailed insights into various aspects of the lighting system. This report includes information on the actual light output measured in micromoles (μmol), the efficiency of the system expressed as micromoles per Joule, and the specific spectrum or light recipe used. Additionally, the report details the power consumption in Watts, along with other relevant parameters that are crucial for understanding the performance and effectiveness of the lighting setup.

With this report in hand, the customer has concrete data to verify the performance (including LB standard and spectrum maintenance) of the LED installation. In addition to one-off measurements, Hortilux also offers the option of annual recurring measurements in the form of subscriptions.

To celebrate the return of light measurement services, the company is now giving away three free light measurements! If you are interested, sign up via the online form at the link here.
