UK: Iceland Foods opens 'game-changing' £100m warehouseIceland Foods has opened its new £100mln, 500,000 square foot distribution centre, marking a major investment in the retailer's supply chain. US: Laurel Grocery Co. said to shutter wholesale operationsLaurel Grocery Co., which supplies independent grocers in the Southeast and Midwest, is shutting down its wholesale operations, according to local reports. In statements to local media, the 103-year-old, family-owned company, based in London, Kentucky, cited competition from big-box discounters and e-commerce operators. Laurel Grocery Co. was one of the approved suppliers for the IGA network of stores, and it supplied more than 200 retail locations in total across seven states.
