Demand for Dutch peppers is steadily picking up this year. "Due to poor weather conditions in southern Europe in recent weeks, the demand for Dutch produce started immediately. Everyone always looks forward to the Dutch season, and some customers can't make the switch fast enough this year," says Harm Aben, product manager for peppers, among other products, at Frankort & Koning.
"Fortunately, Mother Nature is cooperating this early spring, with supply nicely aligned with demand, allowing for a smooth transition for our customers. Every week, we see more customers switching to Dutch produce, with supply increasing steadily to match the growing demand and sales throughout Europe."
"As the F&K Group continues to achieve steady growth in pepper sales, we have expanded our acreage again this year. Both existing and new growers have joined us, and once again, they are ready to grow peppers for our customers in the packaging formats they require," Harm continues.

"What remains unchanged is that with all four colours in the range, we can respond effectively to every type of demand. Thanks to our various packaging options at different locations, we can fulfill every order accurately. Because we are well represented across almost every part of the Netherlands, we can also ensure the shortest and most efficient link between grower and customer."

"We are now just before Easter week, with temperatures expected to remain above 20 degrees this weekend—unprecedented for this time of year. Demand is traditionally strong during this period, and with volumes increasing rapidly, the timing is perfect. In the coming weeks, volumes will remain high enough that we definitely won't face shortages. That hasn't always been the case at the start of the season—so in short, we're ready!"
