The #SeasonalVeg campaign aims to boost vegetable variety and volume by encouraging consumers to 'eat with the seasons.' This initiative not only improves dietary health but also strengthens British farming, bolsters food security, and supports planetary health. Each month, #SeasonalVeg spotlights a different vegetable, like aubergines in May, tomatoes in June, tenderstem broccoli in July, and butternut squash in September. To boost understanding and interest in 'eating with the seasons,' Veg Power's 'Simply Veg' website will feature fresh content and preparation tips to showcase each vegetable at its best.
Charlotte joins a growing team of high-profile Seasonal Veg Ambassadors led by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall including double-Michelin Star chef Tom Aikens, ITV's Shivi Ramoutar, Suzanne Mulholland - The Batch Lady, Irini Tzortzoglou, Nessie Welschinger, Niki Webster, Chantelle Nicholson and Bettina Campolucci Bordi and other nutritionists - Charlotte Radcliffe RNutr and Zoe Griffiths RNutr. Veg Power is keen for anyone with an interest in seasonal veg to show their support, join the campaign and post relevant social content with the #SeasonalVeg hashtag.
