Koppert has announced an update to its Citripar product, enhancing both its sustainability and user experience. Citripar, known for its effective biological control of Citrus mealybug (Planococcus citri) and vine mealybug (Planococcus ficus) in citrus and grape crops, now features a new packaging designed with the environment and ease of application in mind.

The redesigned packaging includes a practical feature: a perforated lid with a sticker that simplifies the application process. The hanging mechanism remains unchanged, enabling easy placement of the product in the crop canopy. The new Citripar packaging is made from primarily recyclable materials. It consists of a recyclable cardboard tube, two recyclable plastic lids.

Francesco Bourlot, Category Product Manager at Koppert, shares his thoughts on the new Citripar packaging: 'With this redesign, we aimed to improve both usability and sustainability. The new packaging makes it easier for growers to apply Citripar effectively while also reducing plastic use. While this is a step forward, we continue working toward our goal of developing fully sustainable packaging in the future.
