Dimmable LED mandatory in new Dutch subsidy

This year, the Dutch Greenhouse Horticulture Energy Efficiency (EG) grant is available again. Reopened with a budget of €40 million, the EC module focuses on energy-saving investments in greenhouse horticulture, such as additional energy screens, heat network connections and high-pressure misting systems. The grant can be applied for from 15 April to 13 May.

Changes
There are some changes this year, according to a publication on the scheme in the Government Gazette, including stricter requirements for eligible investments, such as energy screens (a second screen only in existing greenhouses and a third screen now eligible) and heat network connections (capacity between 50 kW and 450 kW per hectare). In addition, conditions for LED lighting are tightened, with a higher efficiency requirement (3.00 micromoles of photons per joule) and mandatory dimmability. High-pressure misting systems also remain eligible, provided the droplet size is a maximum of 5 micrometers.

Question hour
On Tuesday 1 April, RVO is organizing an online question hour from 14:30 to 16:30. A short presentation will be given, after which there will be room for questions. Click here for more information and registration.
