The average price of cucumber decreased from 0.95 euros per kilo in the 2022/2023 season to 0.80 euros per kilo in the 2023/2024 season. The Almeria variety accounted for 79% of the total production, followed by the French and short varieties with 5% each, and the midi and snack varieties with 4% each.
Germany was the main destination for Almeria's cucumber with a 49% share. The United Kingdom followed with 13%, the Netherlands with 10%, and France with 7%. Poland, the Czech Republic, and Sweden each received 3% of the total, and the remaining 12% was sent to other countries.
