HortEx Vietnam kicks off

The doors of the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City are open for HortEx Vietnam. After the opening ceremony, they welcomed exhibitors, visitors, and industry leaders to explore the latest in horticulture, floriculture, and agriculture. And this year is extra special as they are co-located with Agritechnica Asia, bringing even more opportunities for knowledge sharing, business growth, and innovation.

shared by the Hortex organization on their LinkedIn page.

Although the Vietnamese agricultural industry has faced numerous challenges, export reached a record of 62 billion dollars last year, with a growth rate of 3.2 percent. With these numbers, the HortEx trade show kicked off yesterday in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. As the climate in Vietnam is challenging to grow in, the demand for safe-grown produce continues to rise and the efficiency in the industry needs to develop further, the horticultural industry is developing along.

The HortEx trade show is organized annually and alternates between Thailand and Vietnam, with Vietnam taking the stage this year. This year the event unites 100 exhibitors specifically for the horticultural industry, with special focus on (plastic) greenhouses, irrigation solutions, efficiency tools, and fertilizers. As Vietnam has a strong floricultural background, several floricultural companies are present too.
