After years of research and field trials, CapGen Seeds is introducing the new Panoramix tomato variety. The company is holding its Open Days at Juan José Berenguer's farm in La Mojonera (Almería) on March 4, 5, and 6. From 10:00 to 14:00, visitors will have the opportunity to see the performance of Panoramix in the crucial final phase of cultivation.
After an intensive development process and testing in different cultivation conditions, Panoramix will be officially launched as a commercial variety in this event. This variety had been presented in a prior event on December 4 and 5, when it was still known by the name CGT3615.
Panoramix was specially developed to meet the demands of the export market and stands out for its high yield, excellent firmness, and long shelf life. In addition, the tomato offers an intermediate level of resistance to the Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV), one of the sector's greatest threats.
The crops on display during the open days were planted on September 5, grafted onto two stems, and are suitable for a long cultivation cycle. Visitors can judge for themselves how Panoramix retains its size, color, and quality in the final phase of cultivation.
