The Japan International Cooperation Agency Alumni Association of Nigeria ((JICA-AAN), in collaboration with JICA Nigeria office has trained the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) farmers to build a strong and sustainable Nigerian economy on greenhouses.
Speaking to newsmen Wednesday at FCT Fadama House in Gwagwalada, Abuja, during a one-day workshop on using Greenhouse Technology for Sustainable Vegetables, Fruits and Flower production, the president of JICA Alumni Association of Nigeria, Mr. Ahmed Agberakhe, said the JICA Alumni Association of Nigeria (JAAN) is an association of Nigerians who have the privilege of receiving training in Japan under the Technical Assistance Programme of the Japanese government.
He said members come from various sectors of the Nigerian economy and currently boast a membership of about three thousand Nigerians, spread across the country.
He stated further that the objectives of JAAN are; to help build a strong and sustainable Nigerian economy, strengthen economic and cultural ties between Nigeria and Japan, and provide support to Nigerians who wish to visit Japan for educational, professional, or business purposes.
