River Falls FFA is channeling some good vibes since receiving a $10,000 donation through Channel Seed's Channeling Good initiative.
Keith Gunderson, who is employed as a Wisconsin Channel SeedPro, nominated the chapter in hopes of receiving funding to help build a new, larger student greenhouse facility and upgrade equipment at River Falls High School. Gunderson is president of the River Falls Alumni Association and has volunteered his services to the group since 2011.
"These updates will benefit over 100 FFA members, providing them the increased space and updated resources needed to enhance learning and grow the local chapter for years to come," Gunderson said.
The Channeling Good program started in 2021 to support Iowa communities hit by the severe derecho, officially expanding in 2024 to empower Channel SeedPros to give back to organizations making a real difference in their communities.
