A new greenhouse farm "Nouveau Village" has opened in Armenia. The construction of the greenhouse began in 2023, with government subsidies and financing from Ardshinbank. According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, the total cost of the project was 9 million euros. The greenhouse spans 5 hectares, with plans to expand to 18 hectares. This expansion will allow the farm to grow and export more than 5,000 tons of crops. " Nouveau Village" aims to reach a productivity of 1,500 tons per year.
Part of the produce will be sold locally, while the rest will be exported to the Russian Federation, followed by the UAE and European countries.
Currently, 177,000 pepper seedlings are being cultivated in the greenhouse, with the first harvest expected in February 2025. The greenhouse is located at an altitude of 1,415 meters above sea level, providing numerous sunny days and favorable climatic conditions.
