Highlights include innovations in CEA, such as Zordi's autonomous growing solutions designed to scale up production while minimizing resource use, and Biobest's opening of a new facility for mass-producing predatory mites for integrated pest management.
There were also a lot of efforts to replace peat moss with sustainable alternatives, like pine bark and plastic-free substrates, as well as new approaches to water management in challenging climates like Mexico.
Two unique initiatives include Israel's Climate First program connecting Israeli climate tech startups with the UK market, and the growing trend of cherry tomato production in Spain's Almería and Granada regions.
