After a successful crop rotation during the summer months, Tomatoworld has been open for visits again since the beginning of October. Tours are in full swing, and this year visitors can also drop by for tours of the exhibition area and greenhouse during the winter months. Thanks to new LED lighting technology and the installation of associated screen systems, they can now continue growing in winter. This makes Tomatoworld accessible to visitors all year round, except for the annual crop change in summer.
This year, they are showing off a selection of new tomato varieties from their partners, including Dunk from Enza Zaden, TomRuby, TT 826, TT769, and Dormaplum from Harmoniz, as well as Fendicia from Rijk Zwaan. These tomato plants were carefully raised by WPK and fitted with the robust Suzuka rootstock. As always, they bring a colorful assortment of red, yellow, and orange tomatoes.
The first harvest is expected in early December, and visitors will again be able to get a taste of the latest flavors and innovations in greenhouse cultivation.
