André Vois from bandOlution on his trade fair presence at expoSE:

"The demand for banderoles has increased exponentially"

Similar to this year's Fachpack, the Kempen-based packaging company bandOlution will also be present at the expoSE in Karlsruhe, where it will be presenting a selection of its sustainable and ecological range. "Our specialties continue to include all types of banderoles, printed or unprinted, for machines from ATS, Bandall, and Project&Service. However, we have gradually expanded our portfolio and now also offer handles and adhesive tapes made of paper," says company founder and owner André Vois.

"Demand for banderoles has increased exponentially in the last two years. At the moment, we expect a double-digit percentage increase in sales in the current financial year. According to customer feedback, this growth is mainly due to our speed and the good price-performance ratio," says Vois, who will be in Karlsruhe as a co-exhibitor at the stand of his partner A&P Schiffmann from Jork. "A&P supplies the machines and provides the associated service, while we primarily deal with the required materials. Accordingly, it makes sense to exhibit together."

In addition to the office location in Kempen, the young company bandOlution also has a branch in the Alte Zeche business park near Kempen.

The range of products available in terms of banderoles has been greatly expanded recently. "We have transparent materials, stretch materials and much more. The focus is clearly on paper. We are unique in that we have been offering single-sided coated banderoles with a plastic content of less than five percent for quite some time. These are also suitable for a wide range of moist products, which has always been a problem in the past. This is because, unlike competing products, our banderoles are not water-based. This means that even if the material gets wet, the seal will hold."

New to the portfolio are innovative handles made of 100% paper. Vois: "We are now in the process of commercially launching the first prototypes. An additional advantage is that, compared to conventional materials, this material is extremely stretch and tear resistant. In principle, we see less application potential here in the fruit and vegetable sector, although I do not categorically rule out the possibility of selling web labels or other labels made of this material in the future." Another highlight in the young company's portfolio is adhesive paper tapes, which are already being used successfully in the food industry and in many other sectors.

Optimization instead of expansion
"In the near future, we will be focusing less on expansion and more on optimizing our core portfolio. It is extremely important to us to provide both industry and direct marketers with up-to-date solutions. That is why we are exhibiting at both Fachpack, where mainly industry representatives are to be found and expoSE," Vois concludes.
