Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources visits strawberry greenhouse

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar visited the Mechanical Biological Separation Center, which was completed by the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and started to provide service, and the strawberry greenhouse, which operates with the heat of energy produced from the greenhouse gases coming out of the solid waste storage center.

Minister Bayraktar, who made a statement after his visit regarding the Mechanical Biological Separation Facility and the strawberry greenhouse that operates integrated with it, said, "This exists in many places in Turkey, but it is a project that can be an example for everywhere."

In Gaziantep, which was declared a "Green City" by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Mechanical Biological Separation Facility and Strawberry Greenhouse, which are modern facilities of the Metropolitan Municipality, continue to work for a cleaner city for the future with their environmentally friendly solutions and opportunities. The facilities, which stand out with their operating system and the added value they provide, were visited by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, who came to the city for a series of visits.

Minister Bayraktar, who received information about the operation of the facility during the visit, tasted the strawberries produced in the strawberry greenhouse, which is heated with electricity generated in the Central Solid Waste Regular Storage Area and operates using the soilless agriculture technique.
