Viktor Goes Green has announced the successful installation of an E-boiler at Viteatom, a company focused on the cultivation of organic tomatoes and peppers. This technology utilizes "blue heat" and is designed to minimize the ecological impact of agriculture while maximizing efficiency.
"Interestingly, the installation from Viktor Goes Green comes standard with a dual control system," says Koen van Hauteghem, managing director at Viteatom. "This gives us the ability to have the installation controlled by the grid operator when the electricity grid is overloaded. We can also take advantage of the imbalance market to convert negative electricity prices into heat for our business."
As the production of green electricity from solar and wind sources becomes increasingly unpredictable, the number of hours with negative electricity prices also rises due to the annual expansion of PV installations and wind turbines. The E-boiler is presented by Viktor Goes Green as a plug-and-play installation, which is a significant advantage over other providers.
The complete installation is manufactured locally in Ghent, Belgium. Depending on the situation, the installation can be carried out on-site by Blockdias, or it can collaborate with the company's standard installer. Blockdias has the capacity to build installations ranging from a few hundred kilowatts to several megawatts, with larger installations consisting of various 1200-kilowatt modules.
