Sustainable packaging and fresh new looks step into the spotlight

Del Fresco Pure® is taking strides to align its packaging practices with eco-friendly standards, reducing the environmental footprint of its products. The company will be at the Global Produce and Floral Show in Atlanta, GA as it unveils its latest advancements in packaging technology with The Original Cherry Tomato on the Vine® getting a sustainable, fully recyclable paperboard clamshell.

The new packaging is designed to be visually appealing and functional, ensuring the freshness and quality of the produce are maintained while minimizing waste. Materials used are recyclable and sourced from sustainable resources. "Sustainability is at the forefront of our operations, and we recognize the importance of reflecting this commitment in our packaging and wanted an option that is 100 percent recyclable," says Ray Mastronardi, vice president of sales.

The Original Cherry Tomatoes on the Vine will be featured in a beautifully designed, 100 percent recyclable, 12oz paperboard clamshell featuring a single-ply uncoated and unbleached kraft paperboard.

The packaging is designed to be appealing and functional, ensuring the freshness of the produce is maintained while minimizing waste.

A fresh new look is also in store for the Organic Tomato on the Vine. The new packaging design incorporates vibrant colors and the label features clear, bold lettering and an updated logo enhanced with a contemporary aesthetic.

Del Fresco Pure® Mini Crunchers® have also received an updated look to capture the crisp texture and refreshing coolness of these mini cucumbers and it's noted in the bold rich tones used in the new packaging.

For over 60 years, the company's legacy has been built around the customer, delivering what they want. "This year our theme is embracing a vibrant and nostalgic diner setting. Attendees will be welcomed into a retro-inspired setting, complete with elevated diner decor, including vintage floors and pops of bold color throughout the booth. The booth aims to recreate the charm of a vintage eatery," says Mastronardi.

The "Come Dine with Us" theme celebrates Del Fresco Pure produce and highlights the connection between fresh produce and the dining experience. Visitors can expect interactive displays showcasing the versatility of the produce, along with tasting stations to sample dishes prepared with the company's ingredients.

The booth will also feature:

  • Recharge stations for devices
  • Onsite custom tote bags
  • Swag bags with merchandise

The company's team will be at booth B763.
