US: RED Horticulture expands into America, announces new Business Developer

RED Horticulture has announced its expansion into the North American market with the establishment of RED Horticulture Inc. and the addition of a new Business Developer, Dr. Abhay Thosar. Abhay brings extensive expertise in horticultural crops such as high-wire plants, ornamental plants, leafy greens, and soft fruits.

According to the company, Abhay's experience spans decades of working with greenhouses, growth chambers, and vertical farms. "His deep understanding of greenhouse management, vertical farming, crop management, and Controlled Environment Agriculture across a variety of crops makes him an ideal fit for this role."

Abhay believes RED's Smart Dimming technology will offer North American growers a competitive edge, particularly in challenging market conditions where they face competition from imported goods. "Innovation, addressing growers' needs, and promoting sustainability are the core reasons I joined RED. I am passionate about optimizing plant responses through lighting and RED's technology provides growers tremendous flexibility across diverse crops and applications."

Abhay will be an active presence at many North American trade shows, starting at the Canadian Greenhouse Conference in Canada on October 9 and 10. He will provide growers and industry professionals the opportunity to meet him in person and explore how RED's solutions can enhance their growing operations.
