NL: Opening new production site Klasmann-Deilmann

On September 27, Klasmann-Deilmann officially opened its new production facility in Duiven, the Netherlands. In partnership with Bol Peat and Olde Bolhaar Eco-Service, the Duiven location focuses on the sustainable production of renewable raw materials for various organic substrates. "This collaboration is proving successful, as it combines efficient communication with the use of more sustainable resources in one place."

With the opening of the Duiven factory, Klasmann-Deilmann Benelux can now supply substrates that are largely made from renewable raw materials, such as coconut, GreenFibre wood fiber, compost, and composted bark.

Braving the Elements
On the afternoon of September 27, customers and partners were given the opportunity to tour the new factory in Duiven in small groups. The tour provided visitors with insight into the production of various substrate mixtures. In a festive setting, with refreshments served, the new factory was officially opened, and glasses were raised in celebration.

As they headed home, attendees received an outdoor plant, of course, grown in one of Klasmann-Deilmann's most sustainable substrate mixtures.
