"GA-Clean effectively removes all contamination"

NL: Gutters properly cleaned of inorganic salts special focus during crop rotation

During the crop rotation growers can thoroughly clean their greenhouses and prepare them for the next crop cycle. In light of the upcoming crop rotation, Cleantechnics offers an extensive range of cleaning and disinfecting agents to make this process as effective as possible.

Cleaning gutters
One of the most challenging tasks during crop rotation is removing inorganic salts that have accumulated in the gutters. Gerard Schepers: "Our product, GA-Clean, has been specially developed to tackle this type of contamination. It removes not only salts but also other stubborn contaminants such as algae, moss, grease, dust, and soot from glass, gutters, and aluminum surfaces. The use of GA-Clean ensures that even the most stubborn dirt is thoroughly removed so that gutters are back in optimal condition for the next crop."

During a crop rotation, growers drive tube-rail carts through the greenhouse, spraying the gutters with GA-Clean to allow the product to soak in. Another person follows to spray off the product. "GA-Clean works with an incorporation time of 10 to 20 minutes. Concentration and incorporation time depend on how old and stubborn the fertilizer deposits are, and the type of cultivation gutter used. By the time the second person arrives, GA-Clean is already well incorporated and the gutter can be cleaned immediately."

Cleantechnics has had its gutter cleaning and disinfecting agents tested by well-known gutter manufacturers. "They have found the product to be good and safe."

The upper gutter was cleaned only with water and a pressure washer. The lower gutter was first sprayed with GA-Clean and cleaned with a high-pressure sprayer with water after a 5-minute soaking time. "Here residual inorganic salts were removed. Using only high-pressure water does not succeed."

Greenhouse and glass cleaning
Besides cleaning gutters, there is much more work to do in the greenhouse, knows the chemist who set up Cleantechnics with grower Dennis Grootscholte. At the company, they advocate thorough crop rotation with the right resources.

For cleaning glass, Cleantechnics offers AR Clean. "This product is specifically developed for cleaning AR-coated glass and has been approved by several international larger glass producers." Among other things, the product removes algae and improves glass transmission. "Dirty glass not only causes light loss but is also a potential hiding place and breeding ground for pathogens."

Another multipurpose product offered by the company is FoamOrg. "This cleaner is particularly effective for tackling organic dirt on greenhouse facades, concrete paths, and glass stands." FoamOrg can be easily applied with a lye-suitable pump. "It thoroughly removes stubborn dirt and deposits. This not only cleans the greenhouse but also creates an optimal environment for new crops to grow optimally."

FoamOrg can also be used for cleaning gutters. "This makes it a versatile choice for growers looking for thorough cleaning. Using FoamOrg effectively removes organic dirt and algae/moss. This is important for both greenhouse hygiene and maintaining light transmission through the glass."

Disinfection
Aside from cleaning, disinfection plays a major role in crop rotation. For this purpose, Cleantechnics offers Oxiline-50, a silver-stabilized hydrogen peroxide. "This is a powerful disinfectant that can be used instead of traditional agents such as formalin. This product is especially useful for thoroughly disinfecting drainage ditches and other critical areas in the greenhouse, such as concrete piles, to prevent the build-up of pathogens. The product can be combined well with GA-Clean for combining with fertilizer removal on gutters."

Cleantechnics offers a complete range of products to fully clean the greenhouse and prepare it for the next crop cycle. "Growers who want to optimally prepare their greenhouse for the next growing cycle can rely on our products including, AR Clean, GA-Clean, FoamOrg, and Oxiline-50. These products ensure that every grower has the best tools to get and keep their greenhouse in top condition."

In Flanders, Intergrow/Hesco supplies Cleantechnics' products. Cleantechnics' specialists are available for questions and also have a TechTalk Crop Rotation available, with more details on recommended dosages, application times, and the most effective application of Cleantechnics' products.
