Total ad numbers this week were 11 percent down from last week

USDA has published the National Retail Report for advertised prices for specialty crop products at major retail supermarket outlets ending during the period of 14 September 2024 to 26 September 2024.

The fall equinox, signaling the commencement of autumn, is slated for Sunday, September 22, 2024. This event, occurring biannually, aligns the sun directly over the Equator, facilitating an equilibrium of day and night durations. Concurrently, the period is characterized by a resurgence of pumpkin-flavored offerings. Current retail promotions are spotlighting squash, a group of vegetables noted for their nutritional profile, including low calorie and fat content, alongside being rich sources of vitamin C, fiber, B vitamins, and vital minerals such as potassium and magnesium. Acorn, butternut, spaghetti, kabocha, and delicata squash are among the recommended varieties for culinary use.
