Van Iperen International has announced the departure of the first vessel of GreenSwitch Potassium Sulphate (SOP) to The Netherlands from their partner Cinis Fertilizer's factory in Sweden. This marks the beginning of the company's efforts to distribute this sustainable water-soluble SOP to its customers in the upcoming weeks.
GreenSwitch Potassium Sulphate is a water-soluble SOP fertilizer created through an environmentally circular process with reduced emissions in Sweden.

This soon-to-arrive first batch of GreenSwitch SOP signifies a crucial step in our mission to distribute circular fertilizers that benefit growers and contribute to more sustainable agriculture practices."
Jakob Liedberg, Founder of CINIS Fertilizer and partner in the development of GreenSwitch Potassium Sulphate, expressed his enthusiasm about this step. "The delivery of the first boat of GreenSwitch SOP to The Netherlands is a significant achievement for our collaborative efforts. With the production capacity at the recently inaugurated factory in Sweden, we aim to reach 100,000 mt per year of GreenSwitch SOP. Product packing and customer sampling as already begun!
Van Iperen has received trucks with the product and has started the packing process in the Netherlands. The bulk of the product will arrive with the upcoming boat shipment, enabling the company to further scale up its operations.
At the same time, Van Iperen has begun distributing samples of GreenSwitch SOP to its customers, allowing them to test the product themselves.
Lab Analysis Confirms High Quality
As part of the pre-release process, GreenSwitch SOP underwent lab testing. The lab analysis results confirmed that GreenSwitch SOP meets the specifications -including pH and solubility- required for water-soluble SOP.
The GreenSwitch Potassium Factory in Sweden
The GreenSwitch Potassium factory in Sweden, officially inaugurated on June 4, operates through a patent-protected process. This production method reuses industrial waste from electric car batteries and the paper industry, ensuring that GreenSwitch SOP maintains sustainability throughout the production process.

GreenSwitch Potassium Sulphate (SOP) Named Finalist for GreenTech Innovation Award 2024
In June, GreenSwitch Potassium Sulphate (SOP) was named one of the three finalists for the GreenTech Innovation Award 2024 in the Innovation category. This recognition follows the previous recognition of GreenSwitch circular fertilizers: GreenSwitch Original, Van Iperen's first liquid nitrate fertilizer from an organic source, won the GreenTech Innovation Award in 2021.
