AgHIRE Program offers leadership training for Spanish-speaking farmworkers

The Center for Land-Based Learning is accepting applications until October 14, 2024, for its AgHIRE program, a leadership training program for Spanish-speaking farm workers. AgHiRE will offer courses in high-priority areas identified by employers, including leadership and communication, digital literacy, regulatory awareness, and English.

The program is designed to equip participants with the skills needed to excel in their roles and take on more responsibility in their organization. By participating, employers will not only be supporting the growth of their workforce but also helping to ensure their farm's long-term success with capable leaders on board.

Classes run from December 4, 2024, to March 14, 2025, in Woodland, California. Participants should be native-Spanish speakers currently in front-line farm leadership roles or those showing promise for promotion.
