Mastronardi Produce celebrates first anniversary of greenhouse rebuild

In April 2023, The Ohio Greenhouse Company, known for cultivating SUNSET WOW Strawberries, experienced significant damage due to an EF1 tornado. By September 18th, 2023, just under five months later, the 19-acre facility had been rebuilt and was ready to start planting a new organic crop of WOW Organic Strawberries.

Paul Mastronardi, President & CEO of Mastronardi Produce Ltd. said "Looking back, completing this rebuild project in such a short period was a remarkable feat. The greenhouse was reconstructed and ready for planting at an incredible pace in less than five months. This was achieved thanks to the tremendous support from our Mastronardi Produce team, business partners, and the local community. It certainly speaks to their resiliency and dedication."

The cleanup and demolition of the damaged greenhouse structures began in May 2023, with contributions from suppliers such as Havecon Projects, PB-Tec, PDI (Peter Dekker Installaties), VB Climate, Voorwinden Groep, Priva, Metrotek, JB Hydroponics, Emmett Contracting, Bogaerts Greenhouse Logistics, and van Der Waay B.V.
