Tozer showcases new vegetable seeds at Dutch Field Trials

This year, the independent seed multinational Tozer will participate again at the Seed Meets Technology event in the Netherlands. This time, their 1300m2 trial field will showcase a selection of over 100 vegetable seed varieties.

Tozer, a leader in celery cultivation, will feature this crop in the upcoming trials. The mid-season hybrid Cleopatra, part of its extensive catalog, is noted for its market popularity. It is particularly suited for pre-packing due to its good color and upright growth, showing strong performance even during the early season's unpredictable conditions.

Brassicas will also be featured at Tozer's Dutch Field Trials. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore up to twenty varieties of kale, encompassing new breeding lines of green kale and enhanced hybrids of Cavolo Nero. This selection emphasizes both product versatility and flavor.

At the event, Tozer will present a range of new varieties including the coriander types Bolero, Rumba, and Flamenco, the parsnip variety Sabre, the quicker-growing Kalettes (a hybrid of kale and Brussels sprouts), along with new varieties of leek, salad onions, and rocket.

"We're really satisfied with the quality and range of the innovations our visitors will be able to see next week at the field. We're expecting clients and delegations from many different countries, and I can't wait to welcome them all", says Marcel Bloemendaal, Sales Director for Northern Europe at Tozer.

The Tozer team has also prepared a special surprise for those professionals joining them on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th: a "Happy Hour". Taking place from 16h to 17h on both days, this get-together will be an opportunity to taste their very own celery gin and enjoy a Gin & Tonic or an English beer.
