NL: Photo report opening research center PROOF

Upon entering PROOF's greenhouse at Gantellaan 8 in Honselersdijk on Thursday afternoon around four o'clock, we think we can still recognize the concrete path from when Lisianthus was grown there. We still walked across it at the start of the renovation last November.

Pim van Adrichem from HortiTech smiles. He points to a spot in the middle of the reception hall/canteen. "Look, that's where the concrete path ran." Really somewhere else, then. It shows how thoroughly the greenhouse has been remodeled. "Actually only the glass is still on the greenhouse," he says.

Peet and Leo van Adrichem perform the opening ceremony

In the short talks by Peet van Adrichem of HortiTech, Paul van Dijck of Harmoniz Netherlands, Luke van Adrichem of Metazet, and Perry van Adrichem of HortiTech, that construction process also comes up. As early as mid-February, the first box of tomatoes was planted.

Leander Kolen, Dirk Prins, and Marcel Beekenkamp of Priva with Ary de Jong of HortiTech. Ary is testing Priva innovations such as Priva One in PROOF's greenhouse.

"At one point ten construction platforms were driving around, through all these small departments," Peet looks back. Everything was going well. He compliments all the construction partners. In turn, Peet later receives a thank you from Perry, "for fathers", whose knowledge and expertise proved to be of great importance in the ambitious project.

"Peet came up with a lot of good ideas," we also hear later from Paul van Dijck during the tour. He points to the ceiling in Harmoniz Netherlands' demo room. The rafters you see there, were left over after some of the rafters had to replace the greenhouse unexpectedly. In the demo room, the remaining trusses have given the interior an extra horticultural touch.

Luke van Adrichem of Metazet explains innovation MetaFIT to Martin van Tol (LetsGrow.com), Martin van Zeijl (Bom Group), and Tom Zwinkels (Growers United/Bryte), who is listening attentively on the right.

The opening was a great opportunity to walk around the greenhouse. After the opening of PROOF, an initiative of HortiTech, Metazet, and Harmoniz, people are not supposed to keep walking off and on. The 'innovation incubator' can be visited by invitation. This way, companies can test innovations in peace and quiet and take the future a step further.
