Dutch pepper growers focuses on clustering acreage

To take sustainability steps, Dutch pepper nursery Kwekerij Moors decided to sell the greenhouse in Someren and expand the acreage in Asten. In Asten, the growers have an alternative to fossil fuels, unlike at the greenhouse in Someren. With the move, the pepper grower is already clustering acreage in Asten-Heusden.

"But what you don't think about so much when putting that puzzle together is letting go. Letting go of something that has also brought us a lot," people write on social media next to a photo showing an empty greenhouse. The greenhouse passes to strawberry grower Thwan van Gennip.

"This greenhouse has helped us grow, literally and figuratively. The team has narrowed the gap between Asten and Someren 😉 and helped us tremendously in realizing our plans. And thankfully, they are all moving with us! We made a final tour today, said goodbye, and together pulled the door shut behind us."
