Windset Farms® announced the planting of its new 24-acre sustainably lit greenhouse expansion in Delta, B.C. The new greenhouse, in conjunction with the addition of LED lighting in the company's existing greenhouse facility totaling 48 acres of Windset's 92 acres in Delta, B.C., will be the largest lit facility in Western North America. The company says its Santa Maria facility is currently the largest single-site vegetable greenhouse operation in the United States. The Delta expansion was completed by early summer, allowing the company to utilize its increased capacity to better serve the local market year-round.

This expansion is a testament to the company's commitment to sustainable year-round cultivation through the use of renewable hydroelectric power and biomass boilers for heating. The new lit expansion will house various crops throughout the year supplying Western Canada and The Pacific Northwest.
