This year, the crop rotation of all growers within Rainbow Growers Group will be carried out by Veldhoven Loonwerk. They will take care of shredding and turning out the slabs as well as disinfecting the greenhouse with turbofog. At a number of growers within the group, the contractors will also turn out the film.
Kwekerij De Wieringermeer also falls within the Rainbow Growers Group. They have invested in their own cloths to prevent any virus infections from outside. Another advantage is that Kwekerij de Wieringermeer always has cloths available and is not dependent on their availability.
Incidentally, Kwekerij de Wieringermeer chose the same cloths that are used by Veldhoven Loonwerk itself. These are thick and sturdy. They are suitable for intensive use.
The collection racks and pipes of the cloth were delivered last week in Rainbow Growers Group green. So that went in style. Two combinations full of new cloth arrived at the nursery.
Steef Bruinen and Sito Berkhout brought a cake at the canvas delivery. Peter Steentjes (in the middle, Rainbow Growers Group) accepted the cake.
Crop rotation 2024
The crop rotation will start again in mid-September. This year, they expect a bit more spread at Veldhoven Loonwerk due to more winter cultivation. Dennis van Veldhoven: "The peak of the crop rotation season is again in November. We are currently busy internally preparing the machinery for this. Team Veldhoven Loonwerk is ready for it."
