Supplying Europe with edamame beans from Limburg

Storm Seeds started new construction at Agropolis

"Climate change has presented us with great challenges, but also great opportunities," argues Pieter Storm of Storm Seeds. "Due to climate change, new diseases are emerging in our region. As fewer and fewer plant protection products are used, the demand for varieties that are naturally resistant to all kinds of pests is increasing."

Limburg-based seed breeding company Storm Seeds has gotten a permit to build a new site on the Agropolis campus. The company wants to conquer Europe from Limburg, supplying edamame beans that do not need to be imported from Asia.
