Automated logistic line transports and unloads vegetables

With the cost of labor being higher than ever, and finding the right people being a major challenge, automation is key. The team with Maryniazcyk helped grower Ogrodnictwo Tomczyk addressing these challenges by creating a modern greenhouse line to improve the logistics processes. "With advanced machinery, we achieved a fully automated process", shows Mateusz Maryniaczyk of FPHU Maryniaczyk.

The process begins by transporting empty vegetable boxes from the production hall to the greenhouses. After they are filled by employees, they are transported by autonomous AGV tractors (Hortitrucks, in this case) to the unloading area.

Mateusz shows this stage uses specialized equipment that allows the boxes or cartons to be unfolded onto roller transporters that convey the goods to the palletizing machine. "This process is fully automated, with additional pallet storage."

In addition, thanks to the station for unstacking empty boxes, the system itself fills in the missing ones. "The employee operating the system only puts in empty boxes stacked on a pallet and picks up the already filled ones. This allows us to save space on the factory floor and reduces unnecessary work."

"Automation increases efficiency, reduces costs and minimizes errors, allowing growers to concentrate on growing", Mateusz concludes. "Our project is a step into the future, benefiting growers and consumers."
