C.H.O. Green Development and Noordhuys sign 5-year contract

"Learning in the workplace ticks all the boxes"

C.H.O. Green Development strengthens its cooperation with Noordhuys by signing a 5-year contract. For the company, which already operates internationally, it is their first Dutch contract partner.

"We are proud that Noordhuys has confidence in the added value of our digital solutions," says Ardie van Honk, co-founder of consultancy C.H.O. Green Development.

Bridging the gap between theory and practice
C.H.O.'s solutions aims to increase the performance of machines and personnel by unlocking continuous learning on the shop floor.

"When learning on the shop floor becomes like using TikTok (just enough, just in time, just for you), it becomes easy to learn the steps that are necessary at work. A Polish seasonal worker who starts working in the Netherlands knows in advance what he can expect. He will exactly know what the working environment, the contract, the hygiene and safety protocols will be like, and how tomatoes should be picked. In other words, seasonal workers are up to speed faster, and stay up to speed easily."

Higher productivity
Ardie gives another example: "By breaking down machine manuals into small pieces, translating them into any language, and by and offering them in different forms, machine uptime will increase. "It's not always necessary to wait for the supplier's technical people to arrive" In this Dutch project, the consultancy agency collaborates with another party in the agribusiness sector to take a step-by-step approach to 'technical business support'.

In this collaboration, Noordhuys will actively participate in the development of the 'Personal Performance Module'. This module is designed to get and keep staff and seasonal workers up to date in a positive and playful way. "This will contribute to the speed, safety and quality of work in greenhouses."

Ardie van Honk is looking forward to the start of this collaboration with Christiaan Luyendijk's team. "This cooperation brings many opportunities that will contribute to improving the efficiency and productivity in Noordhuys' greenhouses."

International
C.H.O. Green Development is also active abroad, for instance in China with a project in Shangang. The similarity between the project in China and at Noordhuys is that both projects are centered around 'individual learning', Ardie explains. "In China, we want to move from traditional agriculture to more high-tech greenhouse farming. However, in China we are also looking to set up and manage a greenhouse with our joint venture partner."
