India: Polyhouse yields success for Karnataka grower

Cucumber is one of the most popular foods of the summer season, a refreshing delight that relaxes you. This man from Karnataka has done something very unique by growing foreign cucumbers in our country's climate.

Farming being conducted in polyhouses is a very common practice, this man did something out of our imagination. Local 18 reports that this man, named Rajkumar Chauhan, took a piece of land on lease and grew an English cucumber.

Rajkumar Chauhan is a resident of Bommuru Agrahara, in the town of Srirangapatna, Mandya. As per the reports of Local18, he is a native of Andhra Pradesh who is currently staying in Mysuru. He had taken two acres of land on lease, on the bank of the Cauvery River near Bommuru Agrahara. He cultivated the vegetables with the help of a drip irrigation system.
