Football results, hygiene protocols and core values on screens in canteens at tomato grower

Lans is a tomato grower with seven locations in the Netherlands, totalling 88 hectares. Each location has its own characteristics, but they have one thing in common: Marketing in Beeld screens there show data from Work-IT in the canteen.

Dutch company Marketing in Beeld offers professional narrowcasting solutions for companies. With narrowcasting, various types of information, including news, sports results and entertainment, as well as data from Nitea's Work-IT, can be shared, for example in company canteens. Thanks to the link between Marketing in Beeld and Work-IT, hours worked, performance and standards can be displayed. Dennis from Marketing in Beeld and Thomas from Nitea visited one of their joint customers, Erwin van der Lans from tomato grower Lans.




At Lans, Billboard-IT, the slideshow tool from Work-IT, was already being used. With Billboard-IT, performance, standards and hours worked are shown on the TV screens. But Lans wanted to show more information and offer something extra to staff during breaks. This can be done with Marketing in Beeld. With it, a whole suite of information and widgets became available to Lans.

"We use Marketing in Beeld at all our locations. We show news from regional, national as well as global sources. We also share Lans' core values, so that at every location it is visible what we as Lans stand for. We also organise an Eredivisie pool for staff, where we predict the results, creating a competition among staff. This creates a fun atmosphere, especially on Mondays when the results appear on the screens. We find Marketing in Beeld's software essential for our company. We share important information for employees on all screens, such as party announcements or hygiene protocol reminders. It is a valuable addition to the canteen and it is missed when it is not there," Erwin van der Lans says.

Erwin continues: "Thanks to the link between Marketing in Beeld and Work-IT, employees are also informed about their hours worked, performance and standards achieved per operation. The alternation between this information and news, for example, ensures that employees look at the screens again and again."

Standard or customised slides
Dennis from Marketing in Beeld adds: "As a company, you have complete freedom in what you communicate. We offer several options for news, weather, sports and entertainment, as well as several standard slides on which you can share your own information. These slides can also be customised to your own house style. If this is not enough, we can also create customised slides that fully reflect the company's house style. In addition, we have a photo bank available, so you can always add a suitable photo to the slide if you don't have the right content yourself. The variation in slides, with moving elements and alternation between news, data and fun content, keeps employees captivated. This is an additional tool to use for employee branding."

Thomas from Nitea IT Solutions says: "By linking Work-IT and Marketing in view, you benefit twice. The data that matters is shown, but the employee also gets to see fun and interesting content. This makes the link a nice additional tool for communicating with employees."
