Putting an end to endless duplication in sharing compliance information

Agriplace, a compliance platform in the produce industry, enabling wholesalers, processors, and retailers to ensure responsible supply chains, has launched free accounts for its Supply Chain Approval platform. This initiative aims to eliminate the redundant sharing of certificates and other due diligence information by suppliers.Growth of compliance information needed
In a world where retailer and government demands for safe, sustainable, and socially just goods are rising, the shift towards responsible sourcing has led to an increased emphasis on compliance within operations. This shift has resulted in a significant growth of compliance information, such as certificates and grower details, which are often shared through emails, spreadsheets, and various tools. Suppliers frequently need to share the same certificates multiple times each year with different buyers, leading to a substantial workload.

Legislation will increase the complexity
New ESG legislation, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), and the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), coupled with heightened retailer demands, has escalated the urgency for better compliance and sustainability practices in the sector.

The largest compliance platform in produce in Europe
Since its inception just five years ago, Agriplace Supply Chain Approval has expanded its client base from a single customer in 2019 to over 350 wholesalers and retailers across Europe. Today, its customers collectively track over 160,000 suppliers in their supply chains. With over 50% of the Dutch market using Agriplace to demonstrate responsible sourcing, the platform significantly reduces duplicate sharing efforts.

Free Accounts launched
"Agriplace is on a mission to enable all actors to manage responsible supply chains. We strive to simplify compliance for suppliers, thereby creating insight for buyers." Shares its CEO Nico Broersen.

The launch of free accounts on Agriplace is designed to simplify the work for suppliers. It allows suppliers to eliminate duplicate sharing efforts by sharing certificates and documents with all customers at once. With a free account, you can set up your own database on the Agriplace platform, maintaining full control over what is shared and with whom. Additionally, the platform allows users to track the compliance status of all suppliers and products, providing notifications to ensure readiness when customers require information.
