Azura Group obtains certification from the Alliance for Water Stewardship

Azura Group has received the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Certification for its horticultural sites in Agadir and Dakhla cities in Morocco. The AWS Standard aims to drive social, cultural, environmental, and economic benefits at site and catchment levels.

"This is recognition of over four years of project management and close coordination with the AWS teams to design and implement a comprehensive sustainable water management strategy across its cherry tomato production farms in Agadir and Dakhla in addition to its packaging facility in Agadir", the team shares proudly.

As part of the AWS Certification process, independent auditors look at various factors within the watersheds where sites are located, such as water quality, water quantity management and engagement with key water-related stakeholders.

"Since its creation, 30 years ago, we have been committed to 'Growing What's Good' for the planet, for consumers, for society and for employees. This is what defines our past and present and shapes our ambition for future generations."

Azura's ambition is to be a positive, proactive actor which inspires and drives forward positive change. "We are convinced that delivering our development strategy in line with our CSR policy and in partnership with our stakeholders will enable us to meet the social, environmental and societal challenges we face. "

Commenting on the announcement, Azura Group's Chief Executive Officer, Hicham Harakat, said:
