Since the launch of HortEx Vietnam in 2018, the Netherlands Embassy in Vietnam has been strongly supporting the exhibition and has been offering Dutch companies a platform to start or expand their business In Vietnam. During the last edition of HortEx Vietnam, held from 13-15 March at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in HCMC, the Netherlands Pavilion showcased Dutch horticulture suppliers ranging from hi-tech process automation solutions, and greenhouse construction to LED lighting, fertilizers, and irrigation.
Based on this year's success, the Netherlands Embassy in Vietnam decided to repeat participation with a Netherlands Pavilion at the forthcoming edition of HortEx Vietnam in 2025. Participation at HortEx Vietnam fits in line with the objectives of the Netherlands to build a long-lasting and sustainable partnership between the two countries. In addition, the Netherlands and Vietnam are working closely together towards sustainable and circular horticulture while also having ambitions of being key players in the international markets.
Vietnam and the Netherlands' strategic partners
The Netherlands is known for its advanced agricultural technologies and practices. Through partnerships and collaborations in horticulture, Vietnam can benefit from technology transfer, training programs, and capacity-building initiatives provided by Dutch experts and institutions. This can help improve productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in Vietnam's horticultural sector. Decreasing the footprint of agriculture, using land and water resources more efficiently, reducing food waste, and applying good agricultural practices are all part of the integrated circular approach and the key agenda of the partnership in agriculture between Vietnam and the Netherlands.
Joining the Netherlands Pavilion
Registration for the Netherlands Pavilion is now available, but due to limited space, only 7 companies can be accommodated at the Pavilion. Dutch companies are granted a unique opportunity to participate once in the Pavilion; however, the Embassy, in close cooperation with Nova Exhibitions, has been able to secure special conditions for Dutch companies who have already participated once in the Netherlands Pavilion in 2023 or 2024 and wish to participate with an individual booth, to further support market access to Vietnam.
The next edition for HortEx Vietnam is scheduled for 12 – 14 March 2025 in HCMC and will be co-located with AGRITECHNICA ASIA.
