NL: Spring demonstrably darker, data shows

The first harvest in many greenhouses is a bit later this year. Among the reasons cited is the gloomy weather. This has also been a hot topic in the strawberry sector over the past few months, but how much darker or lighter is it really? Soft fruit consultant Marcel Beekers points to valuable data in this context.

He has a dashboard with data from the past three years. "This year, we see that especially February (nearly 30% less light) but also March (13% less light) are again darker than the average of the past 3 years," he writes on LinkedIn.
