As the sun set in Ho Chi Minh City, Hortex came to an end. The last day of the successful show took an unexpected turn as last night the Dutch royal visit, scheduled for next week and with time reserved for the Agrofood and horticulture industry, got canceled upon request of the Vietnamese authorities, citing 'domestic circumstances'. The trade mission will continue as planned, but due to unknown reasons, the Vietnamese government asked the Dutch Royal couple to postpone their visit, with no new date being announced.
So back to the trade floor. Final show days can be very quiet, but this morning at least the floor filled up nicely from the start already. What exactly there was to be found, we'll share with you early next week, in our photo report. For now, have a sneak peek.
Near the entrance of the trade show, Xander van der Zande, representing DanDutch, unofficially served as the unofficial entrance point for Hortex 2024.
Their colleagues might have opted for Mexico, but Panis Sarantopoulos and Dimitrios Milios with Plastika Kritis, visited by but Julien Fitte (Richel, middle) were present in Vietnam.

As the show is to join forces with Agritechnica Asia, the event will alternate between Vietnam and Thailand from next year on. The first co-located edition with Agritechnica Asia will take place from 12-14 March 2025, again in the SECC, with the first Thailand edition taking place in 2026.
