Planasa aims to strengthen its presence in Northern Europe with its portfolio of cold-weather varieties

Planasa will be present at the international fair Fruit Logistica, which will take place from February 7 to 9 in Berlin, Germany. In a very special year, with the celebration of its 50th anniversary, Planasa's participation in this event underscores its position as a leader in genetic innovation and sustainability.

Planasa's stand, B-71, located in hall 8.2, will serve as a meeting point for all companies in the sector interested in learning first-hand about the advances made in its comprehensive portfolio of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackberry varieties adapted to various climatic zones in the world.

With its presence in this edition of Fruit Logistica, Planasa continues to strengthen its strategic focus on key regions and promoting its image in the markets of Northern Europe, where it has an R&D center in France, nurseries in Poland and another headquarters in the Netherlands. The strawberry varieties Dream, Red Makalu, and Red Himalaya, as well as the raspberry Pink Rosalita, are expected to stand out the most in these cultivation areas with cold conditions.

Another of Planasa's objectives at Fruit Logistica will be to confirm the great acceptance of its varieties in destinations such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and France, among others. This is the case of the RedSayra or Red Samantha, strawberry varieties developed for a Mediterranean climate, whose acreage has increased considerably in the current campaign. The blackberry Black Sultana also continues to attract the attention of the main European retailers. Meanwhile, other well-known varieties, such as the raspberry Adelita, remain leaders in their respective segments.

Lastly, Planasa's blueberry catalog will also be in the spotlight during the event, with six varieties on offer, including Blue Manila, Blue Maldiva, and Blue Madeira, which have achieved exceptional results so far.
