New paper pot potting machine launched IPM

Keeping plastic pots out of landfills and garden centers is a key topic in the industry, and at IPM Essen, Air Tray Technologies by Blackmore will release a new and patented paper pot potting machine. "This production line can be customized to optimize plant health and automation," says Lars Jensen, inventor of the patented paper pot potting machine.

Plant health
The patented paper pot potting machine is designed to promote healthy root development by ensuring consistent air circulation and water drainage in the root zone throughout the production cycle, he shows. "Plants develop fibrous roots when grown in the Paper Pot Potting Machine system, the optimal root morphology for nutrient uptake, resulting in faster growth and healthier plants more resilient to disease pressure."

Automation
The patented paper pot potting machine reduces input, labor, and shipping costs. "Cost savings can be realized from planting to retail."

Integrated Solution
"The paper pot potting machine can also utilize the Air Tray rack system offering centralized production and gives the ability of one person moving multiple containers at one time," Lars continues. "This keeps employees in one location, eliminating employee downtime walking from one work location to another."

So, who should be using the machine? "The Paper Pot Potting Machine can be used in all sectors by growers needing a healthy root system but at a lower overall cost compared to traditional growing. Air Tray Technologies by Blackmore is bringing low cost and simple automation delivering healthy & better yielding plants."

"These are just some of the many advantages of this new system," says Lars, adding that the company will be showcasing the paper pot potting Machine at IPM in Essen, Germany. "We will also have our other Patented Air Tray Technologies for the Ellepot. We can now make 10ml to 30,000ml paper pots. If you want to save on plastic, we have the solution that not only grows a better plant but does it at a lower cost."
