Nino Venezia, Dutch Graphic Group:

"Besides labels and index cards, printed coffee cups have become a serious business for us"

Growers and fruit and vegetable traders needing labels or index cards are very familiar with the Dutch Graphic Group at Fresh Park Venlo. Enzo and Gino Venezia now run this Dutch company, a total graphic products supplier. Although patriarch Nino Venezia is now more involved behind the scenes, he, too, has an entrepreneurial streak.

Nino recently launched CupBrothers, a business that rents durable, high-quality cups and reusable tableware for all kinds of events and venues, including festivals and restaurants. "A delivery and pick-up service makes arranging any event effortless and worry-free. We carefully wash the rented cups in a professional cleaning machine at our Baarlo location. Or we can set up an onsite mobile cleaning system, something that's unique in the Netherlands," he says.

Cardboard cups gave Nino another idea: printed, reusable coffee cups. "We invested heavily in printers, inventory, and capacity in our new building. That's how we got the idea of printing coffee cups in addition to our cups for events. Many companies' employees use cups from their coffee suppliers. Then, isn't it great to have ones professionally printed in your corporate style?"

"Initial reactions are very positive. Lots of people drink coffee, so there are plenty of cups floating around fruit and vegetable trading companies and farms," says Venezia. "It's wonderful to address this professionally rather than the standard cardboard cups or old coffee mugs."

He has a special offer for the fruit and vegetable sector: Until January 15, 2024, you can get black or white 180ml coffee cups printed in one color for €0.29 apiece. "A bit of my heart still belongs to that sector, and now I can give something back to it with this nice promotion. I encourage people to email me, and perhaps, soon, you'll be drinking your coffee or tea from our beautiful cups sporting your company logo," Nino concludes.
