"Purchasing power is important, but being able to buy French products is even better. Instead of looking at prices, we should focus on what the product is really worth…," claims Auchan France in a press release. The French retail group wants to "make French products accessible to consumers at a fair price that allows producers to be fairly remunerated and customers to avoid arbitrations."
"In 2023, Auchan is committed not to market apples from the southern hemisphere, therefore taking the stand to support its partner producers, more particularly the 'cultivons le bon' producers," according to the poster / © Auchan
With its "Power to buy French" campaign, Auchan "reaffirms its commitments made at the start of the anti-inflation quarter: to continue to offer a selection of fresh, seasonal products from France at low prices every day."
The company adds that it will be offering "very affordable raw produce all summer long, with a daily offer of fruit and vegetables at very low prices, including French cherries at 3.69€/500g [4.02 USD/500g], French batavia at 0.89€ [0.97 USD]."
